John 1:1 tells us that In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Today many wonder at the relationship between the Man Jesus Christ, God the Father and the Holy Spirit. Oneness of the Godhead is all the way from Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21.
The Plan of Salvation: God became a man
The name Jesus means “Jehovah Salvation”. (Fausset’s Bible Encyclopaedia, Page 359). God’s own law demanded justice for sin and the penalty was death (Ezekiel 18:20). Because all men were shaped in iniquity and conceived in sin (Psalms 51:5), no man was found worthy (Revelation 5:4). To pay the price; God became a man, born in the humility of a stable as a sacrificial lamb.
Original sin: Was it an apple?
For many years we have been taught that Adam and Eve ate an apple from the tree in the midst of the Garden of Eden and through this act of disobedience plunged the whole world into sin. A closer reading of the Word of God shows us that the fruit of which Adam and Eve partook was not an apple.
Baptism: In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ
God’s Word tells us in Acts 2:38 to repent and be baptised 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
The End Time: Living at the time of His Second Coming
Many people wonder why things are the way they are. Looking at the breakdown of family, social structures and cultures as well as the deterioration in the environment, the climate and political system to name just a few manifestations; people realise that something is fundamentally wrong in the world but are often unsure what that is. Increases in earthquakes and natural disasters, wars and rumours of wars only add to this sense of an oncoming storm.
