The Plan of Salvation: God became a man

The name Jesus means “Jehovah Salvation”. (Fausset’s Bible Encyclopaedia, Page 359). God’s own law demanded justice for sin and the penalty was death (Ezekiel 18:20). Because all men were shaped in iniquity and conceived in sin (Psalms 51:5), no man was found worthy (Revelation 5:4). To pay the price; God became a man, born in the humility of a stable as a sacrificial lamb.
